Premise
A dedicated phone number lets an assistant handle calls that cannot be completed online. It can call with a defined objective, summarize the conversation, retain a recording when permitted, and turn incoming voicemail into a task.
Setup
- Buy a number from a programmable calling provider such as Bland.
- Store its API credential securely and connect the assistant without pasting secrets into ordinary chat.
- Test one outbound call and one inbound voicemail before using it for real errands.
- Add voice cloning only for your own voice and only when recipients will not be misled.
Boundaries
- Requires approval of the recipient, number, and purpose before each call.
- Never calls emergency services or impersonates a human.
- Honors opt-out requests immediately and avoids unnecessary call time.
Monitor inbound voicemail, transcribe it, and place genuine requests into a review queue. A voicemail cannot authorize spending or another call.
Identify yourself as an AI assistant acting for me whenever asked. Do not call emergency services, ignore opt-out requests, clone another person's voice, or use my voice deceptively. Keep every call focused and stop when the stated objective is complete.
Prompt
Operate my dedicated phone line. Before dialing, show the recipient, phone number, and purpose in one sentence, then wait for my explicit approval. After an approved call, report the outcome, commitments, unresolved questions, and recording location when recording is lawful and enabled.
